Initial Visit/Consultation

Service Description

Your initial visit is a consultation to complete a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of your mental health needs and to determine whether my services are a good fit to address your needs. Sometimes additional appointments are necessary to complete the assessment depending on the complexity of your problems and the efficiency of our communication. This consultation period is also an opportunity for you to decide whether you would like to work with me. At the end of the assessment, I will collaborate with you to develop a treatment plan to best address your presenting problems. A treatment plan may include prescribing medication, providing psychotherapy, suggesting behavioral modifications, recommending medical evaluations including labwork, or others services or resources as indicated. A treatment plan may also include referrals to other specialists, psychotherapists, programs, or other services to meet your individual needs. Please expect that controlled substances, including benzodiazepines (such as Xanax, Klonopin, or Valium) and stimulants (such as Adderall or Ritalin) will not be prescribed at the first visit.
