ABOUT DR. DARA FERNANDEZ

Dr. Dara Fernandez is an experienced adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist , highly sought after for her caring and warm nature; therapeutic and professional persona; and ability to provide expert mental health care. She believes in promoting a patient’s strengths, reframing cognitive distortions, and using limited medications.

Her experience spans a wide breadth of clinical experience: academic psychiatry, child and adolescent’s mental health, college/young adult mental health, eating disorder inpatient and outpatient care, acute psychiatric inpatient care, outpatient psychotherapy, and medication management.  In addition to her work as a dedicated clinician, she has served in leadership and participated in clinical research.

She feels that it is a privilege to help her patients achieve healing, insight and wellness.
